In Jerry’s mind, he had many, many questions about life…
As matter of fact, Abraham later called Jerry “The question asked of the world…”
How did Esther start channeling?
To make a long story short, a person who channeled told Jerry and Esther that they were channels too.
The channel told them to meditate to activate their own ability to channel. Both Jerry and Esther were a little taken back by this because to them, meditation seemed weird.
And this whole channeling business seemed weird too.
One thing that Jerry said about meditating was that he thought more of himself as a businessman!
Esther wasn’t comfortable with meditating either. She thought it had to do with people laying on a bed of nails.
She didn’t know anything about it… But they both started meditating anyway… Right away when Esther started to meditate, she felt what she described as “pure ecstasy.”
She felt like something else was entering her mind and body. From spelling words with her nose, to typing on a typewriter, to hearing blocks of thought, she mastered channeling.
Jerry asked Abraham through Esther every conceivable question he could think of. Esther thought it was really good, but she made Jerry promise that he wouldn’t tell anyone!
Since 1986, Esther and Jerry have been hosting workshops in up to 60 major cities a year in the US and even in foreign countries.
Jerry passed away in 2013.
At the workshops, Esther quiets her mind to “go get Abraham.”
Once she allows them to enter her consciousness, they usually speak to the audience for about 20 minutes.
For the next few hours, they open it up to the audience to ask questions from a hot-seat in front.
Famous people like actress Minnie Driver and Dr. Wayne Dyer have gotten into the hot-seat.
Oprah interviewed Esther while she channeled Abraham.
If that’s not enough to peak your curiosity about Abraham, consider some of their “secret” teachings…
Secret Teaching #1: You are an Extension of Source Energy
This one is very controversial!
You are source energy in a physical body…
The late Dr. Dyer liked to say that you are a piece of God. Does that seem true for you?
What if it was true?
How would your life change if you found out that this was true?
Most of us believe that we are not powerful beings.
Most of us believe that we are “less than” source energy, God, or the Universe.
And most of us feel inferior to others, let alone to source energy! But that’s not what Abraham teaches…
They teach the exact opposite of that…
They say, referring to all humans, “You are that which man calls God.”
And they say that we are the leading edge of the spiritual world, not the other way around…
Consider that concept for a moment…
What if others misled us to believe that we are less than and not good enough for a reason?
And what if that reason was to control us better? “But,” you may be thinking, “how can it be true that I am a piece of God?
If I was source energy, or God, why can’t I do more miraculous things?”
The answer to this question is deep and an entire book could be written on it…
But here’s the short answer…
Your belief about what is possible can hinder or help you.
For most of us, society has trained us to believe in our own limitations. Since childhood, our school system and society in general taught us to believe that we aren’t good enough.
If we didn’t do well on a test, our teachers made us feel that we weren’t smart enough.
If we were too slow, they said that we weren’t fast enough.
Through most of our childhood, we developed negative beliefs about ourselves. The result is that we have developed many self-limiting beliefs that keep us from being our true selves…
Beliefs are powerful.
Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right.”
And Napoleon Hill said, “Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”
Although this concept may seem unbelievable, consider investigating it more for yourself. It’s a huge topic, but it’s one that Abraham teaches.
There have been hints from the Christian Bible all along that you are an extension of source energy.
One scripture says that if you have the faith the size of a mustard seed, that you could move mountains…
And another one says that the Kingdom of God is within you…
But somehow, those scriptures got overlooked, why?
Secret Teaching #2: You Have Internal Guidance, Your Inner-Being
Again, at some level, you know that this is true.
- Life coaches call it “intuition.”
- But they will never tell you what it is, or how it works.
- They don’t know.
- All they know is that their clients always know what is best for themselves.
All they know is that it’s not their job to guide, rather, it’s their job to get clients to use their own intuition.
You may call it your “gut instinct.”
Others may call it your soul, or your higher-self.
Let’s look at your own life experience to see if it’s true… Haven’t you ever experienced knowing something without knowing?
For example, let’s say that you have a business partner. And let’s say that they come to you with some advice on how to improve the business.
But they suggest something that doesn’t sit right with you.
In your heart, you know that it’s not going to work, or that it’s not good advice. But you take the advice anyway because you don’t want to hurt the feelings of your business partner.
But later, the advice doesn’t work. It fails. Your intuition told you all along that it wasn’t going to work. You knew it. But you went along with it anyway…
According to Abraham, that’s your inner-being speaking to you.
That’s the internal guidance system working.
This intuition is what Abraham calls your inner-being. According to Abraham, your inner-being is the real you – that part of you that knows all things.
It’s that infinite being part of you that knows who you are and who guides you through your emotions. Your inner-being talks to you through your emotions. This is the other secret.
When you feel negative emotion, what this means is that your inner-being is not agreeing with you.
Whatever you are thinking, it doesn’t agree. And when you feel good, that’s when you are in alignment with your inner-being.
This internal guidance system uses an emotional scale.
This emotional scale lets you know how far away you are from being in alignment with your inner-being.
This scale starts at:
- peace of mind
and goes all the way down to…
The lower on the scale, the further away you are from your inner-being’s thoughts.
According to Abraham, your inner-being knows everything that you want.
It also knows the path of least resistance to get you there…
If this is true, isn’t that empowering?
And doesn’t it make you want to test it out?
And the exciting part is that the more that you trust your inner-being, the better the results. In other words, it’s like a muscle.
The more you use it, the stronger and better it gets.
It is through meditation and quieting your mind that you receive messages.
Your inner-being provides these messages.
But also, it will guide you through traffic, or give you an impulse to call someone at the right time, etc.
Your inner-being is there to assist you to be, do and have everything that you want.
Many of the law of attraction teachers overlook this key teaching…
Now, let’s consider another one of Abraham’s teachings.
Secret Teaching #3: Everything is Vibration!
In Napoleon Hill’s book Think and Grow Rich, he mentions “a secret.” Researchers believe that he hid the secret in the book to encourage deeper spiritual thinking.
Jerry Hicks loved this book and read it over and over again.
And what he said was that he never found the secret.
It was baffling.
He knew that it was there somewhere, but he couldn’t find it.
But later in Jerry’s life, he found an unabridged version of Think and Grow Rich.
What he discovered was fascinating to him…
The unabridged version had the word “vibration” in it 37 times, but the edited version for the public did not.
Not only that, but the edited version had almost 100 pages removed…
In other words, the version of the book released to the public hid a secret.
That secret was the topic of vibration.
This topic on vibration is one of the main teachings from Abraham.
Without getting too technical, there are quantum physics experiments that support this teaching.
One of them is called, “The Observer Effect.” Another one is an experiment with entangled particles…
These topics are too deep to get into in this article, but the science is absolutely mind-boggling.
Abraham teaches that everything is energy, and everything is vibration.
We live in a vibrational universe. And we interpret vibration through our sense of smell, touch, sight, hearing and taste.
We are so good at interpreting vibration that we don’t even realize it! But the more interesting thing they teach is that our thoughts and feelings are vibrational too.
And via the law of attraction, we can attract into our lives whatever we want.
All we have to do is ask, and it is given…
This whole topic on vibration is huge.
All you have to know is that the most important thing to do is to feel good.
When you feel good, you raise your vibration.
When you raise your vibration, you attract the people, circumstances and events into your life that you want.
It’s that simple…
