Hacks-That-Help-You-Work-Smarter

Growing a startup company can be hard. It might take a lot of time and money as well as patience to grow it.

Roughly 90% of new business startups fail within the first two to three years. And on top of everything else, there’s DEBT to think about.

For most people, the prospect of financial hardship sends a chill down their spine.

However, a strong mindset strategy can be the difference between your business failing or flourishing. Why? If you get your mindset in order, you’ll be able to take advantage of:

  • Effortless growth of your startup business
  • Attract leads, sales and more business
  • Increased income and influence

Whether you’re a small company owner or a stressed marketing professional with a limited budget, we understand that you don’t always have the time or resources to learn everything there is to know about the newest MINDSET techniques.

In this article, we’ve put together three cost-effective hints to help you get the mindset fundamentals correct for your startup company.

Many believe in the old adage, “work harder”.

Sometimes, not always, working smarter, is way better than working harder.

Nine Out Of 10 Startups Fail

Neil Patel says, nine out of ten startups will fail Not because he wants to discourage you but rather because he desires to empower small business owners to start working smarter not harder.

The fact is, when you get to know the hard cold truth and statistics of how many entrepreneurs are struggling to stay afloat despite their hard work, it can get really discouraging really fast! Especially if creating a purposeful business that also empowers you to enjoy time and money freedom is what’s driving you.

Which is exactly why I want to share with you these three simple hacks that you can implement today to avoid that failure trap this year.

3 cost-efficient ways to startup success

Here are 3 simple hacks that help you work smarter not harder & avoid failure.

Business-and-Lifestyle-Blueprint

1. Develop Your Own Business and Lifestyle Blueprint

By this, I mean design and customize a 360-degrees blueprint that takes into account, not just the kind of business you are ultimately building but also the kind of lifestyle you want to enjoy.

So aside from getting drowned in the nitty-gritty of getting your business on the right track, get to know the purpose that your serve.

  • Who are you really?
  • What matters to you?
  • How can you enjoy a fulfilled life whilst growing a successful business?
  • Are you going to die trying to earn 500 million dollars, or is it enough to have a lifestyle business?

Gone are the days when you had to sacrifice your values for money at the end of the month so make sure what you are building now is enriching you and your customers.

Stop short-term reactive thinking

That means you can finally stop short-term reactive thinking, which only derails your success and actually start thinking like a business leader.

This will give you the ability to visualize the end-to-end business goals and execution strategies before you begin to invest heavily on irreversible strategy implementations.

Within that, of course, will include a set of processes because every business operation is a process.

But I want to emphasize very much the need for both your business and your life because I know many entrepreneurs priorities the business more than their own growth and quality of life.

Losing sleep, lack of exercise, burning yourself out, skipping over your personal growth and continued education is one of the best ways to ensure struggle in life and business.

Your business will never outgrow you.

Remember that whenever you get stingy with yourself.

Having gotten that personal aspect out of the way, let’s talk more about how to practically make your business blueprint work for you.

We know that most business processes and strategies are conceptual. But we live in an era of knowledge management so your main job, {once you’ve outlined the main processes and strategies that emerge from the roadmap which I expect you are now creating}, will be organizing your ideal workflow. So train yourself to start organizing the flow of information in and out of your business.

The best way to do this is to leverage the second tip.

2. Leverage digital technology, tools, and online systems

Many entrepreneurs are self-made. That means they will often be a one man show or at best have a small team.

The rich results that can be produced by such a small number of physical manpower are greatly amplified today thanks to the digital revolution.

But you need to educate yourself on the necessary systems, software, and tools that can help you hack your business growth.

Business is a team sport
Robert Kiyosaki

As I said before, business is a team sport. It’s not enough for you as the owner to enjoy building and running your empire.

Everyone has to get involved for things to go well. I recommend learning to systemize your recurring tasks as early on in the game as possible. Every business has repeating tasks and recurring to-do lists so whether you are growing your business alone or work with a small team, learn to break your workload into tactics, milestones and action steps.

Then use software such as Coschedule to help you keep track and efficiently manage all your various projects and departments.

The reason to do this is that each step has a purpose. By identifying recurring tasks, you make it easy for anyone to take over the task and “fill in” when the need arises.

Which makes it predictable and easier to put it all on autopilot.

3. Move and work in blocks of time

work-in-blocks-of-time

The idea is simply this: Set up various workspaces, or choose different locations {if possible} to get chunks of work done throughout the day.

I have found this term “Workstation popcorn” being used by a lot of entrepreneurs recently.

Here’s how it would look like for you:

Before your to-do list, make your to-be list.

Who do you want to be?

After you’ve completed that, then do a clear, thought-out to-do list.

Then create a plan for what you will accomplish at each location so you can immediately jump into those tasks.

If you are working at different locations, for example, you could break up your to-do list into sections so that when you are at coffee shop A, you accomplish one task then move to coffee shop B. When you get to the office desk you accomplish another and so on.

Only when the appointed task for each location is completed can you move on.

Of course, you can sort out your task list, however, suits you best, but the important part to note is having a clear finishing point based on your task list rather than the time you will move to a new location.

And when you move, cycling or walking is best. That’s because this can be the time for you to break from your screen, recharge your brain, practice mindfulness and get some physical movement into your day.

Side note:

Keep your phone in your pocket, and move!

Take a break away from work for at least 30 minutes.

Almost everyone who has adopted this simple hack has reported an increase in productivity, energy levels, focus, and success so test it out and see if it’s a good hack for you.

Conclusion:

With these simple hacks, you can be well on your way to securing a permanent victory spot for your startup business.

By recognizing the areas in your business that can be systemized, taking frequent breaks and leveraging technology you can certainly avoid losing that momentum that is so vital for any growing business.

And you are certainly less likely to fall victim to the same traps that have been leading entrepreneurs into the depths of failure and discouragement.

Test one. Test them all.

But whatever you do, make sure you’re not blindly falling for that old mindset of hard work alone because in our current digital economy – hard work alone does not equal success.

90--Of-Startups-Fail

One of the main challenges for entrepreneurs is gaining enough momentum for growth and profitability.

Whether you are in the start up phase or trying to scale up, we all know success in business seldom comes easy.

Stunted business growth and seeming failure is something many entrepreneurs struggle with for one reason or another.

Often we are inclined to increase physical effort and “work harder” assuming that this will be the key to success.

But this rarely solves anything.

In fact, much research from trusted experts reveals that the best way to avoid failure is to learn how to work smarter not harder.

Your business will become more profitable and scalable if you can leverage yourself to work on creating the right strategies as early on as possible in the game.

Then delegate their implementation rather than doing it all on your own.

One thing I have learned is that the game of business is a team game.

The sooner you can start employing simple hacks such as the ones listed below into your business, the better your overall results, productivity levels, and business growth will be.
